It's not as easy as it first looks to find good internet connection in Peru but whatever it's not what I'm here for. However it did give me some problems updating this journal as I first planned to do so instead I'll just tell you guys what I've done uptil now.
After a month as a volunteer in The Sacred Vally near Cusco (which was one awesome experience!) me and some of my new buddies decided to take a trip to the north of Peru and see som jungle and wild life.
Instead of doing it the boring way - that is flying - we planned to go by boat up the Amazon to Iquitos (a place that can't be reached by car). It took us 4 days. 4 amazing days spend in hammocks on the deck just watching the river and the dolphins that ocasionally decided to pay us a visit.
In Iquitos we spend some days in the jungle until we unfortunately had to head back south again - one of my friends had a plane to catch in Lima. On the way we managed to see som ruins both in Chachapoyas and Trujillo.
Returning to Cusco after a month of travelling felt a bit like being home again. We spend some days shopping for christmas presents on the local markets and just relaxing a bit.
Currently I'm in Puno on the shore of lake Titicaca and plan to spend the next few days here while the Puno-festival is still going strong.
Afterwards we head to Bolivia for a couple of days and then back into Peru to see the south of this beautiful country.
Can't wait to get home and upload some of the photoes I've taken.
Hope you're all doing fine with everything!

What are you doing at the moment? School of some kind or just relaxing and enjoying life (of course it's possible to be doing both... methinks?).

I did consider spending another year relaxing and working, but I was really itching to get started on a new education, so I scrapped the idea and applied for a spot at the SDE College, and was accepted.
That river trip sounded amaaaazing. I would love to see river dolphins someday. AAAH! This is so neat that I'm excited just reading about it!
Haha, I'm teaching too, by the way. I'm currently helping with a multiple-handicapped art therapy class for some beautiful kindergarteners, but in the spring I'll actually have a high school art classroom of my own! There will definitely be stories on that...
